(Photo by Rich Polk\/Getty Images for The Art of Elysium)\" decoding=\"sync\"\/>\t<\/div><figcaption>Jennifer Finch has withdrawn from L7\u2019s tour (Picture: Rich Polk\/Getty Imagesfor The Art of Elysium)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/90s-nostalgia\/\">90s <\/a>grunge band L7 have confirmed that bassist Jennifer Finch won\u2019t be joining them on their final tour after she was diagnosed with <a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/cancer\/\">cancer<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The all-female group were set to embark on their Last Hurrah Tour in October, 40 years after first forming in <a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/los-angeles\/\" data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\">Los Angeles<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Jennifer, 59, was due to join them on tour but now requires \u2018extensive medical care\u2019 after being diagnosed with an \u2018aggressive\u2019 form of brain cancer.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Our beloved bandmate, sister and friend Jennifer Finch has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain <a data-ico=\"hyperlink-article\" data-track=\"inline-tag-auto-link_article\" href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/tag\/cancer\/\">cancer<\/a>,\u2019 L7 wrote on Instagram.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Following multiple surgeries and serious complications, Jennifer now requires extensive medical care, rehabilitation and professional in-home support.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>L7 exploded in the punk scene in the late 80s, touring and releasing four albums before their hiatus in 1996. Making history. Challenging expectations. Kicking down doors. Showing up for people.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Giving a damn when it would have been easier not to.
