British-Nigerian filmmaker <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/akinola-davies-jr\/\" id=\"auto-tag_akinola-davies-jr\" data-tag=\"akinola-davies-jr\">Akinola Davies Jr.<\/a> and American producer <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/ted-hope\/\" id=\"auto-tag_ted-hope\" data-tag=\"ted-hope\">Ted Hope<\/a> will complete the debut film jury.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tMaggie Gyllenhaal will preside over the official Venice competition. She will be joined by Tunisian director and screenwriter Kaouther Ben Hania; the English composer and artist Daniel Blumberg; the Italian professor Francesco Casetti; the French director and screenwriter Xavier Giannoli; the Afghan director and screenwriter Shahrbanoo Sadat; and the Hong Kong director and producer Johnnie To.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tGeorge Clooney will receive the Golden Lion for lifetime achievement.
