according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/lifestyle\/travel\/everyone-dreams-of-island-hopping-through-greeceuntil-they-board-the-vomit-comet-287b97c6?mod=e2tw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">The Wall Street Journal.<\/a><\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\"><a data-omtr-intcmp=\"fnc_travel_article_main-content_article-body_6_3642767\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/travel\/once-glamorous-vacation-hot-spot-overrun-influencers-crowds-almost-unbearable\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>ONCE-GLAMOROUS VACATION SPOT OVERRUN BY INFLUENCERS AND CROWDS: &#8216;ALMOST UNBEARABLE&#8217;<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">High-speed ferries are a popular choice for travelers looking to move quickly between Greece&#8217;s islands, said Mina Agnos, founder and president of <a data-omtr-intcmp=\"fnc_travel_article_main-content_article-body_6_3642768\" href=\"https:\/\/www.travelive.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">luxury travel company Travelive<\/a>. &#8220;We see most clients looking for the quickest point from A to B,&#8221; Tourism rose about 21% from January through May versus the same period in 2025, according to the Bank of Greece.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">Santorini alone drew roughly 3.4 million visitors in 2023, according to Fraport Greece and Santorini\u2019s Municipal Port Fund.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">Yet the high-speed ferry rides can be stomach-churning for some tourists, according to a number of social media posts.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\"><a data-omtr-intcmp=\"fnc_travel_article_main-content_article-body_6_3642770\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/travel\/popular-vacation-hot-spots-slap-limits-tourist-rentals-driving-more-protect-stunning-spaces\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>POPULAR VACATION HOT SPOTS SLAP LIMITS ON TOURIST RENTALS, DRIVING AND MORE TO PROTECT &#8216;STUNNING&#8217; anecdotes about passengers aboard faster ferries.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">&#8220;I&#8217;m not prone to seasickness, but my stomach did not enjoy the fast ferry on a different route [Paros to Milos],&#8221; another person said. &#8220;If people start feeling sick, it usually causes a domino effect.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">A third person bluntly suggested, &#8220;Fly back <a data-omtr-intcmp=\"fnc_travel_article_main-content_article-body_6_3642774\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/travel\/vacation-destinations\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">from Naxos<\/a>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">Last year, a Reddit post was entitled &#8220;Was this ferry from hell normal or just bad luck?&#8221; The person writing the post said, &#8220;The rocking and sloshing on this ferry to Milos was so violent I started vomiting within 15 minutes. and your &#8220;worst nightmare,&#8221; the Journal reported.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">Agnos of Travelive, who splits her time between <a data-omtr-intcmp=\"fnc_travel_article_main-content_article-body_6_3642776\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/travel\/general\/beach\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Florida and Greece<\/a>, disputed the idea that stomach-churning ferry rides are becoming more common, saying she believes social media is amplifying the issue.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-layout-index=\"5\" class=\"pull-quote\">\n<p class=\"quote-text\">&#8220;When it comes to traveling within Greece, it&#8217;s not as easy as it might look online.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p> <!----><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">&#8220;We&#8217;ve seen a huge surge in the number of people traveling to Greece,&#8221;
