data-layout-index=\"5\" class=\"speakable\">The findings come as President <a data-omtr-intcmp=\"fnc_politics_article_main-content_article-body_6_6555873\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/person\/donald-trump\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Donald Trump<\/a> pushes to expand U.S. oil and gas production, arguing domestic energy is key to lowering prices, strengthening national security and boosting economic growth.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">The <a data-omtr-intcmp=\"fnc_politics_article_main-content_article-body_6_6555874\" href=\"https:\/\/www.energyinst.org\/statistical-review\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Energy Institute&#8217;s 2026 Statistical Review of World Energy<\/a> found oil, natural gas and coal accounted for 86% of global energy use last year, underscoring that despite years of investment in wind and gas production is critical to lowering energy costs, strengthening U.S. energy security and fueling economic growth ahead of next year&#8217;s midterm elections, where both parties are expected to make the economy and inflation central campaign issues \u2014 but for very different reasons.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">America&#8217;s dominant position in global energy markets was on full display in the report \u2014 and Trump is taking a victory lap.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">&#8220;Even left-wing studies are finding that President Trump\u2019s energy dominance agenda has been undeniably successful in unleashing reliable, affordable, and secure energy,&#8221; White House spokeswoman Taylor Rogers told Fox News Digital.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">&#8220;Thanks to the President, U.S. oil, natural gas, and coal production has increased \u2013 which benefits American families and businesses by lowering prices, creating jobs, and strengthening our energy security,&#8221; she added. &#8220;America has abundant resources\u2014President Trump is unleashing them.&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\"><a
