The announcement could briefly be found on the band\u2019s website.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>E! News has reached out to a rep for\u00a0Wilson\u00a0but has not yet heard back.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Though Wilson has not publicly commented on his exit, the announcement comes weeks after reports surfaced that the DJ was allegedly fired from the band\u2014which also includes percussionist <strong>Shawn \u201cClown\u201d Crahan<\/strong>, singer\u00a0<strong>Corey Taylor\u00a0<\/strong>and guitarists\u00a0<strong>Mick Thomson<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>James Root<\/strong>\u2014after 28 years as their turntablist.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after, Root seemingly addressed the chatter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDon\u2019t believe everything you read,\u201d Root wrote on Instagram Stories July 31. \u201cStop. Think. Take a breath. Sit with it for awhile. Maybe.
