Stop. Think. Take a breath. Sit with it for a while. Maybe. Just maybe even wait until there\u2019s more information.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>However, no more information came forward from the group or Wilson to clarify the situation.<\/p>\n<p>Then TMZ doubled down on the report, revealing sources \u2018with direct knowledge\u2019 had told them the group had \u2018finally had enough of his behaviour\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Namely, the way he treated his bandmates,\u2019 the outlet claimed. \u2018We\u2019re told the firing was a long time coming \u2014 not some abrupt decision made in the heat of the moment.\u2019<\/p>\n<figure class=\"img-container shareable-item wp-caption\">\n<div class=\"img-wrap\">\n\t\t<img width=\"646\" height=\"379\" src=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/SEI_308381573-3cd4-e1786782512468.jpg?quality=90&amp;strip=all&amp;w=646\" class=\"article-image wp-image-29383235\" alt=\"Slipknot deleted post on social media about Sid Wilson\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\"\/>\t<\/div><figcaption>The band posted then deleted a message announcing his exit (Picture: Slipknot)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>But at the inaugural World Scratch Invitational earlier this week, Wilson introduced himself as \u2018from the world famous Slipknot\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>His Instagram bio still reads \u2018@slipknot gang since 1997\u2019 and he has not unfollowed his bandmates. The official account also still follows him.<\/p>\n<p>Slipknot\u2019s lineup hasn\u2019t had the easiest time of late with Chris Fehn, longtime percussionist, being dismissed in 2019 over a financial legal dispute. <\/p>\n<p>In 2023, Craig Jones \u2013 who had been with the group since 1996 \u2013 up and left with no public explanation.<\/p>\n<p>That same year, drummer Jay Weinberg was also fired over what the band called \u2018creative differences\u2019. Let me heal. I can\u2019t protect you from yourself anymore.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>She also told him to \u2018wake up\u2019 and \u2018take some responsibility\u2019.
