Discovery CEO David Zaslav has refused to pay the salaries negotiated for the core \u201cBarbie\u201d team, which includes Robbie, her co-star Ryan Gosling, director Greta Gerwig, and her co-writer husband, Noah Baumbach.<\/p>\n<p>The studio has allegedly made more than six offers in the three years since \u201cBarbie\u201d came out. What do I really care about?\u2019 Like, \u2018What\u2019s the story underneath this story?\u2019\u201d the filmmaker <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2024\/film\/news\/greta-gerwig-barbie-sequel-1235932238\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said\u00a0at Time\u2019s Women of the Year event<\/a> in March 2024.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd I think with \u2018Barbie,\u2019 the story underneath this story was I loved Barbie,&#8217;\u201d Gerwig noted. \u201cIf I find the undertow, then we get it.
