Now, however, fans can breathe a sigh of relief. Driver is officially joining the MCU.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x\"\/>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At Disney\u2019s D23 event, Driver appeared via video to tell fans that he will be playing the role of Minister Sinister.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cKevin and I have been talking for years about maybe joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He\u2019s playing Magneto.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A few days later, he posted a correction, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ApocHorseman\/status\/2077796217854263660\">writing<\/a>, \u201cSo sorry guys. Big mistake from my end but hearing Adam Driver is Sinister.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is unclear if Magneto will actually be in the film. His various abilities include telepathy, shape-shifting, and the ability to clone or alter mutants, such as Jean Grey.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sinister allied with Apocalypse in order to augment his body and develop his skills further. In 2016\u2019s \u201cX-Men: Apocalypse,\u201d the titular role was played by <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/theblast.com\/tag\/oscar-isaac\/\">Oscar Isaac<\/a><\/strong>.
