{"id":46434,"date":"2026-08-15T09:59:28","date_gmt":"2026-08-15T04:59:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/usnews-14267fa.ingress-comporellon.ewp.live\/?p=46434"},"modified":"2026-08-15T09:59:28","modified_gmt":"2026-08-15T04:59:28","slug":"frozen-3-royal-wedding-crashed-by-new-villain-in-first-look","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/usnews-14267fa.ingress-comporellon.ewp.live\/?p=46434","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Frozen 3&#8217; &#8220;Royal Wedding&#8221; Crashed by New Villain in First-Look"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script>\r\n  atOptions = {\r\n    'key' : '644b717812d811d6a1c1fc5b6ccd6fa6',\r\n    'format' : 'iframe',\r\n    'height' : 90,\r\n    'width' : 728,\r\n    'params' : {}\r\n  };\r\n<\/script>\r\n<script src=\"https:\/\/www.highperformanceformat.com\/644b717812d811d6a1c1fc5b6ccd6fa6\/invoke.js\"><\/script>\r\n<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tBundle up! <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/frozen\/\" id=\"auto-tag_frozen_1\" data-tag=\"frozen\">Frozen<\/a> 3<\/em> is coming.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tAt its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/d23\/\" id=\"auto-tag_d23_1\" data-tag=\"d23\">D23<\/a> fan event on Friday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/disney-2\/\" id=\"auto-tag_disney-2_1\" data-tag=\"disney-2\">Disney<\/a> offered up a first-look at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/frozen-3-to-hit-theaters-over-thanksgiving-1235973302\/\">the third entry<\/a> in its hit franchise, which is set to glide into theaters on Nov. 24, 2027.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tIn celebration, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/idina-menzel\/\" id=\"auto-tag_idina-menzel_1\" data-tag=\"idina-menzel\">Idina Menzel<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/kristen-bell\/\" id=\"auto-tag_kristen-bell_1\" data-tag=\"kristen-bell\">Kristen Bell<\/a> walked hand-in-hand onto the D23 stage before launching into a (slightly tech issued) rendition of song \u201cFrozen Heart,\u201d as Bell teased \u201cAnna and Elsa are going on their biggest journey yet.\u201d The stars confirmed that Anna and Kristoff will be getting married in the story and \u201cthis royal wedding has been a long time coming.\u201d They added that love is in the air for everyone \u2014 even Olaf.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tJosh Gad then arrived to sing a love song to Samantha, in reference to a joke from the second film. Menzel declared, \u201cWe will find ourselves far from Arendelle in wild and dangerous land\u201d and cut to the footage, which showed Anna and Kristoff\u2019s wedding seemingly being crashed by a new villain. As they trudge through an icy forrest, the villain comes down from a snowy peak and says \u201cThe sisters of Arrendale, we finally meet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<em>Frozen<\/em>\u2018s past two iterations have been a smash at the box office, with the 2013 original earning $1.28 billion and 2019\u2019s <em>Frozen II<\/em> bringing in $1.45 billion. Menzel and Bell\u00a0lead the franchise as royal sisters Elsa and Anna. Following the death of their parents, Elsa, voiced by Menzel, is to become queen but must navigate her dangerous icy powers along the way. Gad, as beloved snowman Olaf, and Groff, as Anna\u2019s fianc\u00e9 Kristoff, round out the main voice cast. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/t\/frozen-3\/\" id=\"auto-tag_frozen-3_1\" data-tag=\"frozen-3\">Frozen 3<\/a><\/em> was originally dated for 2026 but was pushed back, with Gad <a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/josh-gad-on-why-frozen-3-wont-be-released-until-2027-8777332\" target=\"_blank\">explaining in 2025<\/a>, \u201cThere\u2019s a reason the movie is coming out in 2027 and that is because no one wants to rush this. Everyone wants this to not just be a sequel or a money grab. They want this to be absolutely worthy of the story we set out to make in 2013.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tHe continued, \u201cWe want to give audiences something that is worth the years of waiting and years of anticipation.
