Doesn\u2019t matter if anybody curses, it doesn\u2019t matter if there\u2019s violence, if a dog dies, R-rated,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t\u201cSomebody was like, \u2018Can you just let the audiences know that, like, it\u2019s all gonna be OK?\u2019 We break rules in this movie, that might not be one of them. Don\u2019t worry,\u201d she continued.  \u201cI think everybody\u2019s so traumatized by\u00a0<em>John Wick<\/em>, because I\u2019ve been seeing those [comments about <em>The End of Oak Street<\/em>] too, like, \u2018They better not kill the dog.\u2019 <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tShe added, \u201cI\u2019m like, which movies are out there killing dogs that everybody\u2019s scared that we\u2019re just casually doing it in movies now?\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\t<em>The End of Oak Street<\/em> stars Hathaway and Ewan McGregor as parents whose family is suddenly shifted to a location inhabited by dinosaurs. <em>The Hollywood Reporter<\/em>\u2018s chief film critic David Rooney commended her performance in <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-reviews\/the-end-of-oak-street-review-anne-hathaway-ewan-mcgregor-1236671653\/\">his review<\/a>, writing, \u201cHathaway, on the other hand, is the essential glue holding the film together. Denise \u2014 a name that kept making me wish this were an all-out schlocky B-movie with Denise Richards \u2014 is basically an Anne Tyler character in a Michael Crichton novel. She\u2019s a woman looking around now that her kids are growing up and acknowledging her lack of fulfillment, feelings expressed in a novel she\u2019s secretly been writing, in which the protagonist keeps a suitcase packed in the hope she might one day run away from her suffocating life as a wife and mother.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n\tThe new film adds to Hathaway\u2019s jam-packed year, as she\u2019s already starred in <em>The Odyssey<\/em>,\u00a0<em>Devil Wears Prada 2<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Mother Mary<\/em>.
