The record\u2019s seven songs were written by Crow and her long-time collaborator Jeff Trott. The album \u201cdelves into personal reflection,\u201d a press release said, while Crow returns to the rock Americana singer-songwriter sound \u201cthat made so many people fall in love\u201d with her in \u201990s. On the album, she explores themes of hope and unity, and showcases the \u201chonest songwriting and authenticity\u201d that have shaped her career. With a sardonic but sincere sense of humor, Crow starts the classic Americana song with the lines \u201cI guess today is Judgement Day\/ Since everybody\u2019s got something to say.\u201d Welles adds harmonies on the chorus, chiming in on \u201cWhoever said freedom was free\/ There ain\u2019t a freedom without history\/ And folks who died for you and me\/ So don\u2019t be an asshole, let every one be.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Related Video<\/p>\n<p>Crow, a nine-time Grammy winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, will perform at stops on Willie Nelson\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/consequence.net\/2026\/03\/willie-nelson-2026-outlaw-music-festival-tour\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Outlaw Music Festival<\/a> in late August.
