But as he wrapped the interview, Tapper tried to get Trump to commit to a more wide-ranging sit down. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, I know you don\u2019t want to talk about any other issues out of respect for Lindsey Graham, but we would love to have you back some time, because I do have a lot of other questions for you, sir,\u201d Tapper said. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cSure,\u201d Trump replied. \u201cWe will do that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Then Trump made a more broad comment about the network he has regularly attacked throughout his time in office. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re trying to have CNN go on a normal path,\u201d Trump said. \u201cAnd we will do that.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, I\u2019m on a normal path right here, sir,\u201d Tapper responded. \u201cAnd I appreciate your time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGood,\u201d Trump said. \u201cYou are.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trump has not hidden his disdain for numerous CNN personalities and the network as a whole, nor has he made any secret about it wanting to go in a different ideological direction under new ownership.
