In many ways, <em>Tracker <\/em>season 3 marked the end of an era for the project, however, as the year saw the resolution to its central mystery \u2014 the death of Ashton Shaw, and the revelation that Colter has a home base. This clears the path for new narratives moving forward. <\/p>\n<p>Production for <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/tracker-season-4-explained\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Tracker <\/em>season 4<\/a> has been quietly progressing for a while now. This means that the show&#8217;s storytelling is already at least several episodes deep. Throughout the off-season during the summer, however, news about what&#8217;s next for Colter and his allies moving forward. For context, <em>Tracker<\/em> season 3 ended with some sort of cliffhanger, as Jensen Ackles&#8217; Russell left his brother without telling him what&#8217;s in McIntyre&#8217;s file. Beyond the overarching stories, however, a new addition is confirmed for its procedural aspect. <\/p>\n<p>Per Matt Mitovich&#8217;s <em>Matt&#8217;s Inside Line<\/em>, <em>Tracker<\/em> season 4 will see Sarah Jane Morris come in for a guest spot. She will appear in episode 4, and her appearance will be a <em>Brothers and Sisters<\/em> alum with Ken Olin, who was an EP in the family drama. Morris&#8217;s role appears to be more like a one-time thing, as it&#8217;s tied to a weekly case. Firstly, CBS clarified its official release time, which is 9:00pm ET on Sundays, although during its premiere week, it will air a bit later at 9:30pm ET. More interestingly, <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/tracker-season-4-format-change-cbs-update\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Tracker <\/em>season 4&#8217;s format change also got an update<\/a>, maintaining that it will continue its procedural format. This new casting announcement backs this up, as Morris&#8217; role clearly is about the case-of-the-week for Colter. <\/p>\n<p>Whether the actress returns beyond the aforementioned episode is currently uncertain at this point. For what it&#8217;s worth, <em>Tracker<\/em> tends to bring in some recognizable actors for guest spots. Obviously, there&#8217;s Jensen Ackles as Russell, but the series has also done other one-time appearances, most notably David Ramsey in season 3.
