After kicking off the birthday festivities early with a family trip to Fiji earlier this summer, the <em>Monster\u2019s Ball<\/em> star noted on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Db3pSLEg8Rm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noopener noreferrer noopener noreferrer\">Instagram<\/a> she had booked another birthday celebration: \u201cThis time just me and my man.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As in her fianc\u00e9 and partner of six years, <strong>Van Hunt<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The actress and the musician met through text in 2020 after his brother, who worked for her company Respin, played matchmaker.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I said something like, &#8216;I don\u2019t like to be set up,'&#8221; she recalled on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=sVtVzboafO4&amp;t=98s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noopener noreferrer noopener noreferrer\"><em>Today<\/em><\/a> in June 2025, &#8220;and he said, &#8216;Well, how has that worked out for you?\u2019 And I said, &#8216;OK, touch\u00e9.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Having endured divorces from baseball player <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1421021\/halle-berrys-ex-husband-david-justice-on-divorce-reason\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noopener noreferrer noopener noreferrer\"><strong>David<\/strong> <strong>Justice<\/strong><\/a>, singer <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/864316\/eric-benet-responds-to-jay-z-s-name-drop-on-4-44-s-kill-jay-z\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noopener noreferrer noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Eric Ben\u00e9t<\/strong><\/a> and French actor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/olivier_martinez\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noopener noreferrer noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Olivier Martinez<\/strong><\/a> (dad to Maceo-Robert),<strong> <\/strong>plus the end of her five-year relationship with model <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1237441\/halle-berry-alludes-to-drama-with-ex-gabriel-aubry-by-calling-her-child-support-payments-extortion\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noopener noreferrer noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Gabriel Aubry<\/strong><\/a>, Nahla\u2019s father, Berry did her share of healing before meeting Hunt.<\/p>\n<p>And knowing how badly she wanted something different, she feels she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eonline.com\/news\/1413769\/halle-berry-shares-how-she-manifested-boyfriend-van-hunt\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noopener noreferrer noopener noreferrer\">manifested her relationship<\/a> with him.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Having gone through three divorces, I finally knew what wasn\u2019t working,&#8221; the <em>Catwoman<\/em> alum explained on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.today.com\/life\/relationships\/halle-berry-manifest-boyfriend-van-hunt-rcna192597\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noopener noreferrer noopener noreferrer\"><em>Today<\/em><\/a> in February 2025. &#8220;And I realized I was always saying to the universe what I didn\u2019t want.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>So, she changed her thinking to what she <em>did<\/em> want in a partner.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I got very granular with it,&#8221; Berry continued, &#8220;and then he showed up.&#8221;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/www.instagram.com\/embed.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<br \/><script async=\"async\" data-cfasync=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/pl30214220.effectivecpmnetwork.com\/9ab3d4df8a7e1a6171e16ddbf732cc19\/invoke.js\"><\/script>\r\n<div id=\"container-9ab3d4df8a7e1a6171e16ddbf732cc19\"><\/div>\r\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>While Berry isn\u2019t ready for a &#8220;permanent vacation,&#8221; she still enjoys a good getaway.
