Rest well Christy!!! Never could have imagined this day!! Sending so much love to her family!! She was a real one and one of the funniest people out here!!! Rest in Heaven, @christyknowings,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Christy Knowings and Kel Mitchell in their \u201cGood Burger\u201d uniforms on \u201cAll That.\u201d <span class=\"credit\">Nickelodeon<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Knowings was hospitalized Aug. 7 after suffering an asthma attack that left her with brain damage and was placed on life support, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2026\/08\/13\/christy-knowings-dead\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to TMZ<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>She remained on life support until Tuesday, when her family decided to take her off it.<\/p>\n<p>The Bronx-born actress was a regular on Nickelodeon\u2019s \u201cAll That\u201d for three seasons from 1997 to 2000, appearing alongside Thompson, Mitchell, Amanda Bynes, Nick Cannon and others.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The late actress starred on the Nickelodeon sketch comedy from 1997 to 2000. <span class=\"credit\">Nickelodeon<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The sketch comedy series went on to spawn several spinoffs, including \u201cKenan &amp; Kel,\u201d \u201cThe Amanda Show\u201d and \u201cThe Nick Cannon Show.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Knowings once spoke fondly of working with Thompson in particular, saying they both brought cultural details to the sketches that the writers may not have otherwise captured.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe diversity in the cast made a huge difference because there were things that the writers just couldn\u2019t write in \u2026 little nuances that they were not aware of, especially from myself and Kenan,\u201d she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bustle.com\/p\/how-all-that-changed-the-lives-of-its-cast-created-a-legacy-for-generations-to-come-15943967\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told Bustle in 2019<\/a>. \u201cWe would bring cultural nuances and it was celebrated.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Knowings was best known for her recurring \u201cWhatever\u201d catchphrase with Amanda Bynes on \u201cAll That.\u201d <span class=\"credit\">Nickelodeon<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cWith \u2018Inconvenience Store,\u2019 there was a cultural aspect that people are more familiar with now, but back then they really weren\u2019t,\u201d she added. \u201cBut it\u2019s cool that it was celebrated in that way, it was a lot of fun.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Knowings also recalled that Thompson and Mitchell made her feel welcome when she joined the cast.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKenan, Kel, Lori Beth [Denberg], and all the producers and writers made me feel really welcome,\u201d she <a href=\"https:\/\/www.complex.com\/pop-culture\/a\/tara-aquino\/behind-the-scenes-all-that\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told Complex in 2014<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Knowings looked back on her time on \u201cAll That\u201d in a 2019 Instagram post. <span class=\"credit\">Instagram\/christyknowings<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>One of Knowings\u2019 best-known \u201cAll That\u201d moments was also her recurring \u201cWhatever\u201d catchphrase with Bynes.<\/p>\n<p>After \u201cAll That,\u201d she appeared in the 2009 film \u201cMother and Child,\u201d for which she also received a writing credit.<\/p>\n<p>She later appeared as herself on \u201cSesame Street\u201d in three episodes between 2008 and 2011 alongside her twin brother, Chris.<\/p>\n<p>Knowings also released the 2020 song \u201cTo the World.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She is the second \u201cAll That\u201d cast member to die in the past year.<\/p>\n<p>Kianna Underwood, who appeared on the Nickelodeon series as a child, <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/01\/16\/entertainment\/nickelodeon-star-kianna-underwood-known-for-all-that-and-little-bill-dead-at-33\/\">died in January at 33 after being struck in a hit-and-run<\/a> while walking in Brooklyn.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/www.instagram.com\/embed.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<br \/><script async=\"async\" data-cfasync=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/pl30214220.effectivecpmnetwork.com\/9ab3d4df8a7e1a6171e16ddbf732cc19\/invoke.js\"><\/script>\r\n<div id=\"container-9ab3d4df8a7e1a6171e16ddbf732cc19\"><\/div>\r\n<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kenan Thompson was \u201chit hard\u201d by the death of his former \u201cAll That\u201d co-star Christy Knowings, who died Tuesday at 46 following an asthma attack.
