That iteration ultimately did not move forward; the concept is now undergoing redevelopment at Hulu with the same writers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tCooper, Levin, Forman and Anna Mastro also executive produce. 20th Television is the studio, marking a homecoming for Moran who once ran its predecessor ABC Studios.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe <em>Just One Day<\/em> series spans two books and a followup novella. It centers on Allyson Healey (Newton) whose life is exactly like her suitcase \u2014 packed, planned, ordered. Then on the last\u00a0day\u00a0of her three-week post-graduation European tour, she meets Willem. A free-spirited, roving actor, Willem is everything she\u2019s not, and when he invites her to abandon her plans and come to Paris with him, Allyson says yes. This uncharacteristic decision leads to a\u00a0day\u00a0of risk and romance, liberation and intimacy: 24 hours that will transform Allyson\u2019s life.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe first novel, <em>Just One Day,<\/em> released in August 2013, tells the story from Allyson\u2019s point of view, while <em>Just One Year<\/em>, published in September 2014, is told from Willem\u2019s POV. The books has been sold into 19 territories and sold almost 1 million copies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tYA remains a priority area for Hulu, which continues to develop projects after recently passing on two pilots, including <em>Foster Dade<\/em>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tNewton already is in business with Hulu and 20th TV: she is in their pilot <em>Durango.<\/em> She currently stars in the Prime Video movie <em>The Devil\u2019s Mouth<\/em> and recently starred in <em>Ready Or Not 2: Here I Come<\/em>. Newton is known for playing Paul Rudd\u2019s daughter Casse Lang in <em>Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania<\/em>. a role she is reprising in the upcoming <em>Avengers: Doomsday.<\/em> In TV, she was part of the main casts of <em>Big Little Lies<\/em> and <em>The Society.<\/em> Newton, whose upcoming movies also include <em>White Elephant, Somo Lives<\/em> and <em>Hot Year,<\/em> is repped by WME, Entertainment 360 and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tVeteran TV writer-producers Cooper and Levin, who co-created and executive produced the CW\u2019s <em>Beauty and the Beast<\/em> and worked on <em>Brothers &amp; Sisters, Felicity<\/em> and <em>Everwood<\/em>, among other series, are repped by Verve, Mosaic, and McKuin Frankel Whitehead.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tMoran executive produces the USA Network series <em>The Rainmaker<\/em> and has <em>Genuine Fraud<\/em>, starring <em>The Summer I Turned Pretty<\/em>\u2018s Rain Spencer, and <em>Rich AF,<\/em> in development at Amazon. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe film &amp; TV rights for Forman are repped by Katherine Curtis of New Leaf Literary &amp; Media.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<script async=\"async\" data-cfasync=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/pl30214220.effectivecpmnetwork.com\/9ab3d4df8a7e1a6171e16ddbf732cc19\/invoke.js\"><\/script>\r\n<div id=\"container-9ab3d4df8a7e1a6171e16ddbf732cc19\"><\/div>\r\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>EXCLUSIVE: Hulu is developing Just One Day, a series starring Kathryn Newton (The Devil\u2019s Mouth, Big Little Lies) based on the Gayle Forman YA romance novels.
