Role For &#8216;Task&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script>\r\n  atOptions = {\r\n    'key' : '644b717812d811d6a1c1fc5b6ccd6fa6',\r\n    'format' : 'iframe',\r\n    'height' : 90,\r\n    'width' : 728,\r\n    'params' : {}\r\n  };\r\n<\/script>\r\n<script src=\"https:\/\/www.highperformanceformat.com\/644b717812d811d6a1c1fc5b6ccd6fa6\/invoke.js\"><\/script>\r\n<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tAs <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/julianne-nicholson\/\" id=\"auto-tag_julianne-nicholson\" data-tag=\"julianne-nicholson\">Julianne Nicholson<\/a> prepares to reprise her <em><a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/mare-of-easttown\/\" id=\"auto-tag_mare-of-easttown\" data-tag=\"mare-of-easttown\">Mare of Easttown<\/a><\/em> role, she\u2019s had to get back in touch with the character.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe 2x Emmy winner, who won her first in 2021 for playing Lori Ross on the <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/hbo\/\" id=\"auto-tag_hbo\" data-tag=\"hbo\">HBO<\/a> series, explained that she \u201cwas concerned about expectations\u201d for <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2026\/07\/julianne-nicholson-cast-lori-ross-mare-of-easttown-task-s2-1236978360\/\">bringing the character back<\/a> in the upcoming second season of <em><a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/task\/\" id=\"auto-tag_task\" data-tag=\"task\">Task<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s been, like, six years,\u201d she told <em><a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/julianne-nicholson-mare-of-easttown-crossover-task-season-2-exclusive-12058098?taid=6a7e431d1a40190001efaf11&amp;utm_campaign=peoplemagazine&amp;utm_content=new&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_source=twitter.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">People<\/a><\/em>. \u201cAnd so I was like, \u2018Do I know who this person is?\u2019 I was concerned about expectations or people\u2019s devotion to that show and the characters in it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tNicholson continued, \u201cOnce I got there and I was back with Brad Ingelsby, the creator, and Mark Roybal, the producer, and the same costume designer, same dialect coach, same makeup person, it felt so comfortable, like your favorite coat [that] you slipped back on.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cI won\u2019t speak about Lori,\u201d she said of what her character gets into on Task, but she teased that the sophomore season\u2019s big crime \u201cis so moving and \u201cfeels very current, adding, \u201cI think people are going to be blown away.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-content-image \/\/  \">\n<figure class=\"o-figure   size-large alignnone lrv-u-max-width-100p\" style=\"width:100%;
