According to Dialani, it\u2019s a good way to check whether they live in a high-trust society.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content \"><a class=\"backlink\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hindustantimes.com\/trending\/prof-gave-5-lakh-grant-iit-seniors-invested-4-crore-bengaluru-ceo-recalls-startup-journey-101778925111960.html\" data-vars-page-type=\"story\" data-vars-link-type=\"Manual\" data-vars-anchor-text=\"Dialani\">Dialani<\/a>, an IIT Madras graduate, also shared the results of the social experiment in his X post.<\/p>\n<div class=\"content \">\n<h2>A social experiment in Bengaluru<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cMe and my wife have been running a social experiment in Bangalore. Whenever we park our two wheeler in any area, we don&#8217;t lock our helmets. We just keep it on the side mirror or on the seat,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"content \">\u201cIt&#8217;s a low cost experiment to know if <a class=\"backlink\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hindustantimes.com\/topic\/bangalore\" data-vars-page-type=\"story\" data-vars-link-type=\"Manual\" data-vars-anchor-text=\"Bangalore\">Bangalore <\/a>is a high trust city or not,\u201d the founder of BharatAgri claimed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content \">According to Dialani, their helmets have never been stolen in five years. \u201cIt has been 5 years and our helmets haven&#8217;t been stolen yet!\u201d he claimed in his X post.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<div class=\"content \">\n<h2>A discussion on Bengaluru<\/h2>\n<p>Several people in the comments section agreed with Dialani and said that Bengaluru is a high-trust city.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"content \">\u201cStrangers showing &#8216;kindness&#8217; is very common in Bengaluru unlike other Indian cities,\u201d a person wrote.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content \">\u201c100%. There is no other major city in India that even remotely compares. I personally believe that because the income disparity\/standard of living disparity is so low, we all lead fairly similar lives, and as such, people have very little motivation to steal,\u201d wrote X user Aarthi Iyengar.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content \">Siddharth Dialani disagreed with this take, noting that Bengaluru has a high income disparity. \u201cI think the income disparity is large enough. Others claimed that their helmets had not been stolen because they are low-cost items.<\/p>\n<p class=\"content \">\u201cI suspect the results would be the same in most cities.
