Read our <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/betting-editorial-standards\/\">editorial standards<\/a> for more information.<\/i><br \/>\n\t<\/aside>\n<p>Alexander Zverev is in the form of his life and looking for his second consecutive Grand Slam title, but he\u2019s still a decided underdog against Jannik Sinner in the Men\u2019s Final at <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/article\/best-tennis-betting-sites-tennis-sportsbooks-ranked-august-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-nyp-affiliate=\"true\">Wimbledon<\/a> on Sunday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Such is the state of men\u2019s tennis at the moment, where Sinner and the currently injured Carlos Alcaraz are considered to be in a class of their own, even when going up against the World No. 3 and arguably the hottest player on the planet.<\/p>\n<p>While it may seem unjust to see Zverev at +350 odds for this match, the more you dig into this matchup, the more it makes sense.<\/p>\n<p>The argument for the underdog is simple: There may not be a better time to back Zverev than right now, especially as an underdog.<\/p>\n<p>The German had spent years at the top of the \u201cbest active player never to win a Grand Slam title\u201d list, but that burden was lifted when he won the French Open last month. Sinner was sent tumbling out of that tournament in Round 2 after the Italian was <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/06\/05\/sports\/andre-agassi-blasts-jannik-sinner-after-french-open-shock-exit\/\">wobbled by the Paris heat<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s expected to be near 80 degrees at Wimbledon on Sunday.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>Everything else outside of Zverev\u2019s current form and the question marks about Sinner\u2019s ability to handle the conditions points toward the Italian.<\/p>\n<p>Not only is he the defending champion at Wimbledon, but he\u2019s also got a massive edge in the head-to-head against Zverev.<\/p>\n<p>After losing four of his first five meetings against Zverev, Sinner has won nine in a row, and he\u2019s won the last 14 sets these two have played. in 2026, and the former has won five of the eight sets by a score of 6-3, 6-2, or 6-1. It\u2019s been one-way traffic.<\/p>\n<p>It does need to be noted that Sinner\u2019s path to the final has been soft. The Italian made quick work of Novak Djokovic in the semifinals, and that\u2019s no small feat even with the Serb closing in on his 40th birthday, but that was Sinner\u2019s only battle with a seeded player at the All England Club.<\/p>\n<p>Zverev was a whopping favorite against wildcard entry Arthur Fery in the semifinals, but he took out Taylor Fritz and Jiri Lehecka in the previous two
