But back in March 2012, Hamm declared <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrity-moms\/news\/jon-hamm-id-be-a-terrible-father-2012253\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">to Us Weekly <\/a>in an interview, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/preferences\/source?q=usmagazine.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"\/>\u201cI\u2019d be a terrible father!\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>At the time, Hamm, who was 41 at the time, was dating actress and filmmaker Jennifer Westfeldt.<\/p>\n<p>That same month, Westfeldt, now 56, opened up about her and Hamm\u2019s decision to not have children in an interview <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2012\/03\/11\/magazine\/jennifer-westfeldt-friends-with-kids.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">with the New York Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve thought about this a lot lately.
