Instead of lounging, he\u2019s riding a Peloton, with Jones next to him, jogging on a treadmill with <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cassiuslife.com\/1310388\/future-louis-vuitton-friend-of-the-house\/\" id=\"1310388\">Future\u2019s<\/a> song \u201cI\u2019m on One\u201d featuring <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cassiuslife.com\/1401864\/jay-z-drake-history-timeline\/\" id=\"1401864\">Drake<\/a> blaring in the background.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Whether this is their honeymoon or just a regular vacation, Mitchell\u2019s got no excuses for not getting a workout given his massive new deal. In July, Mitchell signed a four-year, $273 million maximum contract extension that includes a player option for the 2030-31 season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He signed the deal on the first day of eligibility, leaving $80 million on the table for not signing next offseason instead. Fans saw it as him showing his loyalty to the Land and locking in for the long term.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Another good excuse for him staying in shape is he\u2019s got to make up for how last season ended. Heading into the playoffs, his <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cassiuslife.com\/1381463\/james-harden-trade-history\/\" id=\"1381463\">James Harden<\/a>-equipped squad was 52-30, but was swept by the eventual champions, the New York Knicks, in the second round.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mitchell and the R&amp;B singer got married on Aug. 1, though they kept most of their relationship under wraps after <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cassiuslife.com\/playlist\/donovan-mitchell-coco-jones-engaged-men-reactions\/\" id=\"1161868\">revealing they got engaged in 2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Greenwich, Connecticut, ceremony was a star-studded event with fellow NBA players like Jaylen Brown, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cassiuslife.com\/1382214\/bam-adebayo-aja-wilson-scouting-reports\/\" id=\"1382214\">Bam Adebayo, A\u2019ja Wilson<\/a>, and everyone\u2019s favorite new <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/cassiuslife.com\/1408179\/jalen-brunson-meme-coco-jones-donovan-mitchell-wedding\/\" id=\"1408179\">NBA meme, Jalen Brunson<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mitchell\u2019s got a few more weeks of newlywed bliss before he heads off to training camp in late September.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The season begins a month later, and in opening week the Cavs will be taking on the Philadelphia 76ers in what will be LeBron James\u2019 first home game.
