The arrangement highlights the growing power of podcasts led by former players, and the desire for global streamers to sign up video-led sports podcasts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The agreement sees Disney+ land 40 new episodes of Neville\u2019s <em\/> show, with the streamer also getting 50 episodes of new series <em><a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/stick-to-united\/\" id=\"auto-tag_stick-to-united\" data-tag=\"stick-to-united\">Stick to United<\/a> with Wayne Rooney<\/em>. Disney+ will become headline sponsor on both shows during the nearing 2026\/27 season.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <em>Stick to Football<\/em> episodes will run on Disney+, other podcast platforms and The Overlap\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/youtube\/\" id=\"auto-tag_youtube\" data-tag=\"youtube\">YouTube<\/a> channel, while <em>Stick to United<\/em> will be on Disney+, other platforms and The Overlap. Twenty episodes will be exclusive to Disney+ for a \u201climited time.\u201d Disney+ has also commissioned six exclusive extended-length eps of <em>Stick to United<\/em> that will feature special guests.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Stick to Football<\/em> is hosted by footballing legends Neville, Jamie Carragher, Jill Scott, Ian Wright and Roy Keane, and sees the group welcome guests to discuss all manner of football matters. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Stick to United<\/em> will see Manchester United record goalscorer Rooney, who was a breakout pundit at the recent World Cup, hosting alongside <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/mark-goldbridge\/\" id=\"auto-tag_mark-goldbridge\" data-tag=\"mark-goldbridge\">Mark Goldbridge<\/a>, the often over-excited and exasperated United fan who has built a huge YouTube following for his views on the team\u2019s performances. They will analyze the English Premier League team\u2019s latest results and biggest talking points.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Goldbridge sold his media channels to The Overlap in April, and today he called <em>Stick to United<\/em> \u201can historic milestone for fan-led media.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Stick to United<\/em> will stream weekly from next Tuesday (August 18), while <em>Stick to Football<\/em> will stream weekly in the UK and Ireland from Thursday (August 20).<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Neville, co-founder and co-chair of The Overlap,\u00a0said the \u201cunique partnership that feels right for everyone involved,\u201d and added, \u201cWhat\u2019s exciting is that\u00a0we\u2019re\u00a0not changing who we are. Our community will continue to enjoy our content in exactly the way they always have through YouTube, while at the same time\u00a0Disney+\u2019s\u00a0incredible global streaming audience will now be able to discover and enjoy it too.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAs we move into a new era of sports entertainment on Disney+,\u00a0we\u2019re\u00a0excited to be bringing\u00a0one\u00a0of the UK\u2019s most popular and distinctive sports\u00a0shows\u00a0to the platform,\u201d said Sean Doyle, Disney+ EMEA\u2019s VP, Unscripted. \u201cWhat Gary and the team at The Overlap have created with\u202f<em>Stick to Football<\/em> \u2013 and now <em>Stick to United<\/em>\u00a0with Wayne Rooney\u00a0\u2013 is\u00a0truly unique.
