But Hanner, who Aaron Boone said has been in the mix for a call-up for over a month, still had a chance to soak in \u201ceverything I dreamed of\u201d and avoided the temptation to look down the road.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>\u201cJust because a guy doesn\u2019t light up the radar gun,\u201d Boone said before the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/08\/12\/sports\/trent-grisham-belts-two-homers-as-yankees-beat-mariners\/\">Yankees\u2019 10-5 win over the Mariners<\/a> on Wednesday in The Bronx, \u201cdoesn\u2019t mean he doesn\u2019t have good stuff. \u2026 There\u2019s a lot of things that make you good or nasty or whatever, not just power.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Still, the presence of the unproven Hanner also captured the risk the Yankees took at the deadline. <\/p>\n<p>They didn\u2019t add a reliever. Enjoy it. \u2026 The rest will take care of itself. I\u2019m not looking down the road.
