Joining the U.S. Marshals, with their adventures becoming the crux of the project, Sheridan has built a mostly new ensemble around him, spearheaded by his teammates \u2014 Cal, Belle, Andrea, and Miles. Other familiar faces from the <em>Yellowstone<\/em> flagship, such as Tate, Thomas Rainwater, and Mo remain players, but <em>Marshals<\/em> is clearly shifting away from its parent series&#8217; format. <\/p>\n<p>Thanks to the show&#8217;s success, it is now set to join <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/cbs-complete-fall-2026-schedule\/\" target=\"_blank\">CBS&#8217;s fall 2026 schedule<\/a>, instead of being pushed again to the midseason, like its debut year. Given its early release, <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/marshals-season-2-explained\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Marshals<\/em> season 2<\/a>&#8216;s production has been progressing quietly for a while now, with some set images and pertinent details about what&#8217;s coming for the team revealed. Firstly, Marque Richardson is joining as Richardson, recurring as Assistant U.S. Attorney Patrick Burns. Meanwhile, Morgan Lindholm, who was introduced in season 1 as Maddie, will return for an expander role in the show&#8217;s upcoming sophomore year. That said, considering his position, it&#8217;s possible that his arrival has more to do with the operations of the U.S. Marshals as a whole rather than something tied to Kayce and the Duttons&#8217; personal affairs. Lindholm&#8217;s expanded role, however, is particularly interesting, considering where she fits into the bigger story. Aside from being just a bartender, her relationship with Cal is dark and mysterious. Maddie&#8217;s bigger presence in <em>Marshals<\/em> season 2 fits well with plans to further delve into her father&#8217;s cancer diagnosis. <\/p>\n<p>With these changes, CBS is clearly fleshing out the world of Marshals so it doesn&#8217;t just rely on Kayce and the Duttons&#8217; legacy. Granted that the show will always be standing on what <em>Yellowstone<\/em> built, but by diversifying its storytelling, the network is giving it an additional boost to succeed, as it will start offering viewers more stories and characters to be invested in.
