Richardson will recur as Assistant U.S. Attorney Patrick Burns.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Additionally, Morgan Lindholm will return to expand on her role as Maddie, the bartender at the local watering hole, Bullet \u2019N\u00a0Barrel,\u00a0and Cal\u2019s\u00a0(Logan Marshall-Green)\u00a0estranged daughter.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Production on Season 2 began in Park City, Utah, in June, with the confirmed<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2026\/06\/luke-grimes-cbs-series-marshals-production-season-2-begins-1236950318\/\"> return of lead Luke Grimes<\/a>, Tatanka Means as Miles and Ash Santos as Andrea. With the Yellowstone Ranch behind him, Dutton joins an elite unit of U.S. Marshals, combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana. Kayce and his teammates \u2013 Pete Calvin (Marshall-Green), Belle Skinner (Arielle Kebbel), Andrea Cruz (Santos) and Miles Kittle (Means) \u2013 must balance the high psychological cost of serving as the last line of defense in the region\u2019s war on violence with their duty to their families, which for Kayce includes his son Tate (Brecken Merrill) and his confidants Mo (Mo Brings Plenty) and Thomas Rainwater (Gil Birmingham) from the Broken Rock reservation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2026\/05\/marshals-season-finale-cbs-yellowstone-spinoff-what-happens-1236917075\/\">As Deadline previously reported<\/a>, the Season 1 finale ended on a pretty major cliffhanger with two of Kayce Dutton\u2019s fellow Marshals \u2013 Supervisory Deputy U.S. Marshal Pete \u201cCal\u201d Calvin and Deputy U.S. Marshal Isabel \u201cBelle\u201d Skinner-Turek \u2013 in imminent danger after being led to a house where they encounter two men with big guns shooting at them.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It also was teased that Deputy U.S. Marshal Andrea Cruz could leave Montana. However, a second photo from production below reveals Santos, who plays Andrea, will be back, at least for the premiere episode \u201cAll Hat No Cattle.\u201d She is posing alongside Means, a third confirmed cast member returning for Season 2. Outside of Grimes, Santos, and Means, due to the cliffhanger ending, there is no confirmation regarding which other members of the main cast will be back.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Season 2 also could explore Dutton\u2019s love life further, following the loss of his wife somewhere between the end of\u00a0<em>Yellowstone<\/em>\u00a0and the start of\u00a0<em>Marshals<\/em>. There was a moment in Episode 9 where he and Andrea seemed to be getting close. There also was a time he held hands with Dolly Weaver (Ellyn Jameson) after the accident involving Garrett (country star Riley Green).
