Also it\u2019s a show about the women and their relationships, not about politics,\u201d Cohen wrote on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Dodd called out this comment, claiming Cohen and Bravo did not care for conservative perspectives on the show before and have since become concerned only about ratings.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey\u2019re making excuses that they need points of view when I don\u2019t think that\u2019s true,\u201d Dodd said. \u201cHe doesn\u2019t have different points of view. I think he\u2019s full of s\u2014.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dodd pointed to Cohen\u2019s past comments attacking conservatives and right-leaning perspectives and viewed his Threads comment and described the suggestion that the show was welcoming different types of women as disingenuous.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Dodd claims that Cohen and Bravo did not care for conservative perspectives on the show before and have since become concerned only about ratings. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cI think that he sees that the ratings are slipping, and he needs to get back some conservatives. He\u2019s lost half of his audience. Any time you talk, speak about politics. \u2026 you\u2019re gonna p\u2014 off half the country,\u201d Dodd said.<\/p>\n<p>Dodd, however, agreed that the \u201cReal Housewives\u201d brand was not political in any way and that she had not discussed politics prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe show is not about politics. It\u2019s about women\u2019s lives. It\u2019s not about politics. No one\u2019s running for office,s or no one\u2019s talking about politics,\u201d Dodd said.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Dodd pointed to Cohen\u2019s past comments attacking conservatives and right-leaning perspectives. <span class=\"credit\">WireImage<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Bravo and its parent company NBCUniversal declined to comment.<\/p>\n<p>Fox News Digital also reached out to Cohen\u2019s representative for comment but did not immediately hear back.<\/p>\n<p>Dodd <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2021\/06\/16\/rhoc-stars-kelly-dodd-braunwyn-elizabeth-address-exits\/\">was among multiple women who were fired<\/a> or left the franchise after making controversial comments or criticizing left-wing politics.
