This can have a subsequent knock-on effect, as viewers who miss one or two movies are more likely to decide to skip future films, particularly if they feel they&#8217;ve missed too much about the MCU&#8217;s interconnected story to catch up properly.<\/p>\n<p>Inversely, <em>Spider-Man: Brand New Day<\/em>&#8216;s box office result both speaks to a deep and profound continued interest in Peter Parker&#8217;s MCU story, and shows audiences that the wider franchise is still as big as ever, and as capable of providing event films as ever too.
