And yes to working with cancer! Let\u2019s spread that message far and wide! How working is such a comfort!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In her post, Lucy admitted she was first diagnosed 18 months ago and confirmed that despite treatment it is incurable.<\/p>\n<p>She wrote: \u201cHi friends:) I wanted to share something with you all that I\u2019ve kept to myself for a while but for various reasons would like to share now.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA year and a half ago I was diagnosed with Stage 4\u00a0Breast Cancer, which has metastasized to my bones. Specifically to my spine, right hip, and my ribs. The cancer is incurable, and too late for chemo.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe initial lump that I felt, wasn\u2019t a \u2018lump\u2019 as such; rather a kind of hard spot. Really tiny.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI almost didn\u2019t bother getting it checked. So I guess I\u2019m saying don\u2019t ignore anything \u2013 get everything checked out:\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Continuing, the TV star admitted she \u201cdoesn\u2019t know how long she has left.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lucy told her fans that she\u2019s at peace with \u201cwhatever comes <span id=\"3dab0c65-f300-4ad3-8342-f5804edcf8a2\" class=\"suggested-link\">next<\/span>,\u201d as she shared the clip of her ringing the cancer treatment bell.<\/p>\n<p>While she rang the bell, Lucy confessed she has been told by doctors it\u2019s \u201ctoo late\u201d for her to receive Chemotherapy.<\/p>\n<p>She said in the clip: \u201cI\u2019m not scared of whatever comes <span id=\"1ab2e236-7daf-4bc5-8015-b0ef870489db\" class=\"suggested-link\">next<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m at peace with it. I\u2019ll see my Gracie sooner than expected, and for me, leaving my physical body just means going home.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAny and all grieving is for my family; it\u2019s far harder for them than for me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While battling the cruel disease, Lucy explained that she\u2019s asked her family to \u201cmake fun\u201d of her as much as possible.<\/p>\n<p>She added: \u201cThe thing that has been most vital to me is humour. I asked my friends and family to make fun of me as much as possible (which they\u2019re really good at), and most\u00a0importantly of all to not treat me like a sick person.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s nothing that will make you feel more unwell than being treated as if you\u2019re unwell.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Former co-star Ricky commented underneath the post with a red heart emoji.<\/p>\n<p>Director Edgar Wright \u2013 who worked with Lucy on Shaun of the Dead \u2013 wrote: \u201cLove you Lucy. Always.
