Now, her controversial slasher remake is returning with a perfectly timed new release.<\/p>\n<p>Over 15 years since its debut, <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/db\/movie\/sorority-row\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em><strong>Sorority Row<\/strong><\/em><\/a> is receiving a new release at the perfect time. It was directed by Stewart Hendler, with a script written by Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger. The cast also includes Matt O&#8217;Leary, Matt Lanter, Maxx Hennard, Rick Applegate, Ken Bolden, Nicole Moore, and Deja Kreutzberg.<\/p>\n<p>The slasher is releasing on 4K at the perfect time since a <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/sorority-row-2-movie-updates-story-cast-news\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Sorority Row<\/em> sequel<\/a> was announced in 2024 with co-writer Josh Stolberg penning the script, who has teased the return of original characters like Cassidy (Briana Evigan) and Ellie (Rumer Willis), in addition to potential surprise returns from characters believed to be dead.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of its release, <em>Sorority Row<\/em> was panned, resulting in a 24% Rotten Tomatoes score, with critics claiming that it brings little originality to the <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/best-slasher-movies-all-time\/\" target=\"_blank\">slasher formula<\/a>, ultimately falling short when it comes to delivering effective humor or genuine suspense, though it is polished and visually stylish.
