He began serving that sentence on May 19, and he was released from jail in mid-June.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">He also received surgery to take care of loose bodies in his right knee, which caused him inflammation during his eight games for the Chiefs in 2025.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">He declined to speak with reporters who were waiting for him outside the detention center, but now at training camp, Rice faced the music.<\/p>\n<p data-layout-index=\"5\">&#8220;It was mentally tough.
