She also referenced <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2026\/07\/21\/celebrity-news\/cosby-show-star-malcolm-jamal-warners-widow-suing-actors-mom-for-1-2m-in-prenup-promises\/\">Tenisha\u2019s court battle <\/a>with her mother-in-law, Pamela Warner, over his finances.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>A close friend of the late Malcolm Jamal-Warner\u2019s widow, Tenisha Warner, has created a GoFundMe for her. The late actor is pictured above in January 2023. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>According to the friend, Tenisha is struggling financially after Malcolm tragically died last year. <span class=\"credit\">GoFundMe<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>\u201cEvery room holds their memories, with no space to truly mourn, because the demands have never paused: legal matters that began within weeks of Malcolm\u2019s passing, financial weight carried alone, a house to put back together, and their daughter to care for every single day,\u201d Rael wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe has stretched every resource she has and borrowed from people who love her just to keep one foot in front of the other.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to Rael, Malcolm never signed his updated estate plan that would have provided for Tenisha and their daughter \u2014 who has never been publicly identified \u2014 before <a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/07\/22\/celebrity-news\/heartbreaking-new-details-revealed-in-malcolm-jamal-warners-death\/\">he unexpectedly drowned<\/a> while the family was on vacation in Costa Rica. The suit claimed that Tenisha is entitled to $1.2 million, which is what  Malcolm allegedly promised her in their 2022 prenuptial agreement, per TMZ.<\/p>\n<p>Tenisha told Page Six in a statement about the lawsuit, \u201cFor the last year, I have attempted to privately settle my beloved husband\u2019s complicated estate and honor his last wishes. Malcolm had every intention to provide for our nine-year-old daughter and me.\u201d <\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Tenisha shockingly sued her mother-in-law, Pamela Warner \u2014 the trustee of the Warner Family Trust \u2014 last month over money she said she was due from her and her husband\u2019s prenuptial agreement. Legally, I had no choice but to take action to protect our rights before any potential statute of limitations expired.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Malcolm died after being\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2025\/07\/21\/celebrity-news\/malcolm-jamal-warner-caught-by-high-current-in-costa-rica-before-fatal-drowning\/\">\u201ccaught by a high current\u201d<\/a>\u00a0at Costa Rica\u2019s Playa Grande beach in Cahuita, Lim\u00f3n.
