The debate took place on<strong> Piers Morgan\u2019s<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PiersUncensored\/status\/2086920774225461462\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">show<\/a> on Monday night and began with MAGA convert <strong>Lindy Li<\/strong> jabbing Piker.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt&#8217;s absolutely unconscionable for somebody to say that America deserved 9\/11. I was a kid. I remember what happened on 9\/11. He is not sorry \u2014 he said that. He&#8217;s only sorry he got caught. It&#8217;s his true belief. It&#8217;s what&#8217;s in his heart. And there are millions of Americans\u2014\u201d Li said as Uygur cut in, \u201cYou guys are making things up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe&#8217;s only sorry because he&#8217;s finished\u2014\u201d Li tried to continue as Uygur again cut her off, \u201cI&#8217;m sorry, but you are \u2014 you&#8217;re making things up?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo, Cenk, you have to stick up for him because that&#8217;s your nephew. Let her finish. I know you have to stick up for him because he&#8217;s your blood, but don&#8217;t \u2014 a guy that hates America like that, don&#8217;t do it. Let her finish, please,\u201d jumped in comedian <strong>Vincent Oshana.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cCenk, I didn&#8217;t interrupt you,\u201d Li added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut she&#8217;s making things up. Go ahead, keep making things up,\u201d Uyguy insisted.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe literally said it \u2014 I didn&#8217;t put the words into his mouth. He was an adult who said those words. He should be held responsible. This is the same party that espouses cancel culture, but suddenly for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediaite.com\/tag\/hasan-piker\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hasan Piker<\/a> we&#8217;ve just given him a pass? Why?\u201d Li finished.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeah, but it was a stupid thing to say. As soon as all those Democratic establishment figures run everybody out who said Gaza deserved what they got after October 7th, then we could talk. People say stupid things like this all the time. There&#8217;s so much to take on with Hasan \u2014 I just don&#8217;t get why we harp on this one dumb thing that he said. More recently\u2014\u201d Smith continued.<\/p>\n<p>Li cut in, arguing, \u201cIt&#8217;s not just one dumb thing. It&#8217;s such a damning thing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut you&#8217;re harping on one bad thing. If you want to hold the same standard \u2014 hold on a minute, I&#8217;m gonna make your point better than you. Just let me \u2014 hold on a little bit. Instead of, oh my God, instead of cutting me off, just let me make the point better than you can,\u201d Smith said, shutting down Li, before adding:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Cenk, he is on record, quite openly, when he discusses <strong>Mao Zedong,<\/strong> going, &#8220;Yeah, man, I mean, there were some excesses, absolutely \u2014 I don&#8217;t think he should have, but hey, he industrialized China,&#8221; and all this. And I gotta say, brother \u2014 you know that I love and respect you, Cenk \u2014 so you gotta understand, dude, that&#8217;s freaking concerning for people.<\/p>\n<p>The fact that these types \u2014 whatever you wanna call them, the left-maximalist types \u2014 if they were to look at the Industrial Revolution in England or in the United States, they&#8217;d have nothing to say except &#8220;exploitation,&#8221; &#8220;capitalist wage theft,&#8221; &#8220;grueling labor conditions.&#8221; But when it comes to Mao Zedong, who slaughtered people by the tens of millions, pointing guns at people&#8217;s heads and forcing them off their farms into factories, we go, &#8220;Well, hey, man, I mean, he did build a factory at the end of that.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m sorry, dude, but if someone was talking about <strong>Adolf Hitler<\/strong> that way, you would immediately have alarm bells going off, going, &#8220;Whoa, what?&#8221; And this is a thing that people are creeped out about. There&#8217;s something in Mamdani, there&#8217;s something in a lot of these guys \u2014 why do I see a video of you five years ago where you have a thick African accent? Why were you a completely different person a few years ago? What&#8217;s going on here?
