Here\u2019s how her latest legal <a href=\"https:\/\/bossip.com\/4014794\/alls-fair-critic-reviews\/\" id=\"4014794\">drama<\/a> is getting sticky.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This time, Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s legal dispute centers on the spoken-word introduction to \u201cAlien Superstar.\u201d The people claiming ownership of the sampled material say they want their cut.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2026\/08\/10\/beyonce-sued-over-music-sample\/\"><em>TMZ<\/em><\/a><em>, <\/em>Hirose Enterprise and producer Shuji Hirose have filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Beyonc\u00e9 and several music companies over the use of \u201cMoonraker\u201d \u2014\u00a0 a song performed by John Holiday, who also performs under the name Foremost Poets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The lawsuit claims that Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s team used the spoken word introduction from \u201cMoonraker\u201d in \u201cAlien Superstar\u201d without getting the proper license before <em>Renaissance<\/em> was released in 2022. The plaintiffs say a license was eventually obtained weeks after the album dropped, but there is a major problem with that agreement. Hirose claims it owned the rights to the song long before the album came out and that Holiday had already transferred his interest in the work decades ago.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In other words, the people suing Beyonc\u00e9 are basically saying, \u201cYou got permission from the wrong person.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x\"\/>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And this is not the first time \u201cAlien Superstar\u201d has found itself in the legal hot seat.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As <em><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.complex.com\/pop-culture\/a\/bernadette-giacomazzo\/beyonce-parkwood-legal-victory-alien-superstar\">Complex<\/a><\/em> previously reported, Parkwood Entertainment scored a courtroom victory in an earlier lawsuit connected to the exact same sample. That case was dismissed after a federal judge determined that Hirose Enterprises did not legally exist when the original lawsuit was filed. The company filed the lawsuit on August 4, 2025, but was not officially formed until August 12, 2025.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Talk about a technicality.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Still, the dismissal did not necessarily settle the underlying question of who actually owns \u201cMoonraker.\u201d Hirose\u2019s attorney previously indicated that the company was considering its next move, and <em>TMZ\u2019s<\/em> latest report suggests that the fight is continuing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hirose is now seeking an injunction that would stop the continued sale and monetization of the song, along with unspecified damages.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For now, Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s \u201cAlien Superstar\u201d remains available, but the legal drama surrounding its opening moments is proving to be almost as layered as the track itself.
