The record grew out of the band\u2019s recent \u201crave shows\u201d and their massive custom-built modular synthesizer rig, affectionately nicknamed \u201cNathan.\u201d The setup builds on the electronic palette they previously explored on 2023\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/consequence.net\/2023\/10\/king-gizzard-lizard-wizard-the-silver-cord\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>The Silver Cord<\/em><\/a>, while pushing further into techno and other enduring club-oriented sounds.<\/p>\n<p>Related Video<\/p>\n<p>The release arrives just days before King Gizzard\u2019s sold-out <a href=\"https:\/\/consequence.net\/2025\/12\/king-gizzard-2026-us-dates-field-of-vision-ii\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Field of Vision II<\/a> festival, taking place August 14th-16th in Buena Vista, Colorado. The band\u2019s self-curated gathering returns for its second year with King Gizzard performing each day along with sets by Blood Incantation, Angine de Poitrine, W.I.T.C.H., La Luz, among others.<\/p>\n<p>Following Field of Vision, King Gizzard will head to <a href=\"https:\/\/consequence.net\/2025\/12\/king-gizzard-2026-us-dates-field-of-vision-ii\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York<\/a> for three consecutive nights at Forest Hills Stadium beginning August 20th. The first two shows will feature Die Spitz and DJ Crenshaw, while the August 22nd date will take the form of one of the band\u2019s rave shows with D\u0101M-FunK. They\u2019ll follow that with another rave performance at Brooklyn\u2019s Under the K Bridge Park on August 23rd alongside .VRIL.<\/p>\n<p>King Gizzard will then return home in October for a short Australian run, beginning at Anita\u2019s Theatre in Thirroul before heading to Sydney for a pair of shows. The trek concludes with a two-day takeover of Melbourne\u2019s Croxton Block Party featuring performances from Shonen Knife, Babe Rainbow, C.O.F.F.I.N., Gut Health, and more.
