apparently asked Kate Middleton to change the spelling of her given name from Catherine to Katherine.<\/p>\n<p>The pair were reportedly concerned that adding another royal cypher, starting with the letter C, would be \u201coverkill,\u201d and hence, asked if she would be okay changing the name given to her by her parents, Michael and Carole Middleton.<\/p>\n<p class=\"attachment-link-container The Courage, Grace, and Power of the Woman Who Will Be Queen<\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWould Kate mind if she changed the spelling of her full name from \u2018Catherine\u2019 to \u2018Katherine,\u2019\u201d Andersen wrote in the book.<\/p>\n<p>The request apparently left William \u201cfuming\u201d as he found it insulting not only to Kate but also to her wife\u2019s behalf,\u201d Andersen wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe request was nothing less than \u2018insulting,\u2019 he told his father, not only to Kate but to her entire family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While speaking to <i>Fox News, <\/i>the author said \u201cWilliam has gone to war for Kate\u201d from the beginning of their relationship, which began in the early 2000s when they were students at
