It went from a smaller company to a massive industry staple in record time, and now it&#8217;s a monolith under Microsoft and Xbox. <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/tag\/diablo-4\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><em>Diablo<\/em> <\/strong><\/a>is a huge reason for its success, dating back to the original game, which <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/diablo-4-sound-music-interview\/\" target=\"_blank\">took the dungeon-crawling genre by storm<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>    <!-- No AdsNinja v10 Client! --><!-- No AdsNinja v10 Client! --><\/p>\n<p>Now, <em>Diablo <\/em>is back in a big way, even if it doesn&#8217;t seem like it. Between <em>Diablo 2: Resurrected, Diablo Immortal, <\/em>and <em>Diablo 4<\/em> (as well as legacy games that are still operational), the community has been eating well for a while now.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to a new report from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.windowscentral.com\/gaming\/blizzard\/blizzard-is-now-xboxs-top-performing-studio-as-the-division-ends-fy26-over-delivering-on-microsofts-projections-per-internal-emails\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Windows Central<\/a>, we have an idea of how Blizzard operates internally and just how big <em>Diablo 4<\/em> really is.<\/p>\n<p>    <!-- No AdsNinja v10 Client! Given that <em>Diablo 3<\/em> only had one major expansion in the form of <em>Reaper of Souls<\/em> (as well as the smaller Necromancer pack), <em>Diablo 4 <\/em>has been overtaking that run as it has two major expansions under its belt already. That&#8217;s more than <em>Diablo 1<\/em> (which had <em>Hellfire<\/em>), and <em>Diablo 2<\/em> (<em>Lord of Destruction<\/em>) as well.<\/p>\n<p><em>Diablo 4<\/em> has <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/diablo-4-january-update-leaderboards\/\" target=\"_blank\">improved a lot since its initial launch<\/a>, to the point where it couldn&#8217;t really be considered the same game. <em>Diablo 2 <\/em>and <em>3<\/em> also had myriad quality-of-life features and updates over the years (the former even got a full remake, as well as tons of mods and patches during its run), so the <em>Diablo <\/em>teams in general are no stranger to constant updates and sprucing up their foundations. <span style=\"box-sizing:border-box; margin:0px; padding:0px\">Aside from the initial launch of <em>Diablo 3<\/em> (which was plagued by connection stability issues<\/span>and the <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/diablo-immortal-director-auction-house-3-myth-debunk\/\" target=\"_blank\">real-money auction house controversy<\/a>), the series has a sterling reputation.<\/p>\n<p>Given this monstrous run and the clarion call from Microsoft and Blizzard leadership, <strong><em>Diablo 5<\/em><\/strong> seems highly likely. The current run needs to end first, so don&#8217;t expect an announcement for a number of years, but once there&#8217;s at least one other expansion in the running for <em>Diablo 4<\/em>, it could be
