This article contains SPOILERS for The Ninth Jedi.<\/span>Seven years after the sequel trilogy ended, Disney has finally given fans a <em>Star Wars<\/em> story that&#8217;s even better. The sequel trilogy of <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/star-wars-movies-ranked-best-worst\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Star Wars<\/em> movies<\/a> was famously divisive. After the major success of <em>The Force Awakens<\/em>, <em>The Last Jedi<\/em> divided critics and audiences severely, with some fans loving it and others hating it, and <em>The Rise of Skywalker<\/em> is now viewed almost unanimously as the worst film in the franchise. <\/p>\n<p>    <!-- No AdsNinja v10 Client! --><\/p>\n<p>Since 2019, when <em>The Rise of Skywalker<\/em> premiered, Disney and Lucasfilm have been trying to avoid the sequel trilogy. All the live-action <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/star-wars-tv-shows-ranked-worst-best\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Star Wars<\/em> shows<\/a> take place decades earlier in the <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/star-wars-timeline-explained\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Star Wars<\/em> timeline<\/a> than the sequels do, the franchise&#8217;s only film in that time, <em>The Mandalorian and Grogu<\/em>, avoids Rey and the First Order entirely, and the next <em>Star Wars<\/em> movie, <em>Starfighter<\/em>, is also shifting the focus onto new characters. <\/p>\n<p>Now, however, Disney and Lucasfilm have released a new show that doesn&#8217;t avoid the sequel trilogy at all, and it actually told the same kind of story in a much more compelling way. That show, <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/db\/tv-show\/star-wars-visions-presents-the-ninth-jedi\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em><strong>Star Wars: Visions Presents &#8211; The Ninth Jedi<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, isn&#8217;t considered canon. Before and even during the sequel trilogy, many viewers thought Rey was going to build a new Jedi Order. Luke Skywalker&#8217;s Order failed, producing Kylo Ren, and <em>The Last Jedi<\/em>&#8216;s entire message was about how Rey would learn from the past to not be the last Jedi. The trilogy didn&#8217;t get around to it, though, and <em>Star Wars<\/em> fans have been left wanting to see something the sequels teased seven years ago. As previously mentioned, since they&#8217;ve been avoiding the sequel era, no other <em>Star Wars<\/em> story has had a chance to show fans what they want and create a new Jedi Order. <\/p>\n<p>No other <em>Star Wars<\/em> story besides <em>The Ninth Jedi<\/em>, that is. <em>The Ninth Jedi<\/em> is very explicitly about Lah Kara and her friends trying to find and recruit noble and virtuous people from across the galaxy to join them and reform the Jedi Order to battle Nawaam and his armies. Disney has had its fair share of hits, like <em>Andor<\/em>, <em>Rogue One<\/em>, <em>Maul &#8211; Shadow Lord<\/em>, and more, but <em>The Ninth Jedi<\/em> is still up there as one of the company&#8217;s best projects. <\/p>\n<aside class=\"w-promotion-offer promo-article-content-3\/4-depth w-promotion-widget\" data-popup=\"false\" data-sentinel-tracking=\"false\" data-promotion-zone=\"TmV3c2xldHRlciBBcnRpY2xlIENvbnRlbnQgV2lkZ2V0\" data-nosnippet=\"\">\n                                        <link rel=\"stylesheet\" href=\"https:\/\/static0.srcdn.com\/assets\/promotions.099cca01.css\"\/>\n<\/aside>\n<p><em>The Ninth Jedi<\/em> is, from start to finish, a great show. It has some gorgeous animation that is very fresh and unique for <em>Star Wars<\/em>, it has great voice acting, action setpieces, lightsaber duels, and more. It does interesting things with the franchise&#8217;s lore and established canon and has quite a few engaging twists along the way. Most importantly, it tells one of the most coherent and nuanced stories in the franchise&#8217;s history. The overarching narrative and philosophical debate of being empty-hearted versus letting emotions in and learning to control them is tailor-made for <em>Star Wars<\/em>, and <strong><em>The Ninth
