the World Turns, Santa Barbara and JAG.<\/p>\n<p>Jon first appeared on the small screen alongside <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/tvandshowbiz\/28042396\/julie-andrews-walks-cane-after-netflix-bridgerton-season\/\">Julie Andrews<\/a> in Rodgers and Hammerstein\u2019s live 1957 CBS broadcast of Cinderella.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, Jon was a virtual unknown,<\/p>\n<div class=\"rail-container rail-container--full-width rail-container--white\">\n<div class=\"rail rail--classic article attracted an audience of more than 107million, more than 60 per cent of US households tuning in.<\/p>\n<p>He went on to play Man-At-Arms in the 1987 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.the-sun.com\/topic\/film\/\">film<\/a> Masters of the Universe.<\/p>\n<p>Jon also made regular appearances on Broadway, with credits including Man of <span id=\"0d3348bf-81c0-430d-bc43-79386a1209f7\" class=\"suggested-link\">La<\/span> Mancha, The Great White Hope, Big, Coco and 1776.<\/p>\n<p>In a 2014 interview, Jon said that acting was \u201cnot an easy profession.
