{"id":37811,"date":"2026-08-11T03:28:38","date_gmt":"2026-08-10T22:28:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/usnews-14267fa.ingress-comporellon.ewp.live\/?p=37811"},"modified":"2026-08-11T03:28:38","modified_gmt":"2026-08-10T22:28:38","slug":"mother-killed-daughter-with-autism-in-murder-suicide-attempt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/usnews-14267fa.ingress-comporellon.ewp.live\/?p=37811","title":{"rendered":"Mother Killed Daughter With Autism in Murder-Suicide Attempt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script>\r\n  atOptions = {\r\n    'key' : '644b717812d811d6a1c1fc5b6ccd6fa6',\r\n    'format' : 'iframe',\r\n    'height' : 90,\r\n    'width' : 728,\r\n    'params' : {}\r\n  };\r\n<\/script>\r\n<script src=\"https:\/\/www.highperformanceformat.com\/644b717812d811d6a1c1fc5b6ccd6fa6\/invoke.js\"><\/script>\r\n<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>A mother in Rhode Island was arrested after she allegedly killed her 21-year-old autistic daughter in a suspected murder-suicide attempt.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Anna Maria Angelosanto<\/strong> has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, <strong>Alexandra Straccia<\/strong>, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wpri.com\/news\/local-news\/west-bay\/cranston-woman-accused-of-murdering-21-year-old-daughter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WPRI<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Cranston Police Department learned of the crime when officers reported to a first-floor apartment in Cranston, Rhode Island, on the morning of July 27. Upon their arrival, officers allegedly found Angelosanto, 62, with seemingly self-inflicted wounds. Meanwhile, Straccia was found dead in a separate bedroom.<\/p>\n<p>Angelosanto was transported to a nearby hospital to be treated, and an investigation was launched into Straccia\u2019s death.<\/p>\n<p>As authorities searched the home, investigators found a handwritten note as well as prescription and over-the-counter medications.
