According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.metrotimes.com\/music-2\/queens-of-the-stone-age-turn-ford-field-into-their-own-twisted-church\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"><em>Metro Times<\/em><\/a>, Homme also complained that the band had been forced to wander through the stadium looking for somewhere they were actually allowed to smoke.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vivid-seats.pxf.io\/c\/1882189\/952533\/12730?subId1=queens-of-the-stone-age%2Ahomme-defies-smoking-fine-button&amp;subId2=&amp;subId3=&amp;sharedid=&amp;u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.vividseats.com%2Fqueens-of-the-stone-age-tickets%2Fperformer%2F2797\" class=\"button button-ticket\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Get Queens of the Stone Age Tickets Here<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ford Field is a smoke-free facility, with smoking and vaping prohibited throughout the stadium, including its seating areas, lounges, bars, suites, and other indoor spaces. The venue reiterated its policy specifically for Thursday\u2019s Foo Fighters show.<\/p>\n<p>Related Video<\/p>\n<p>By the end of Queens of the Stone Age\u2019s set, Homme appeared to have decided the potential price was worth it. Before closing with \u201cA Song for the Dead,\u201d he launched into a speech encouraging the audience not to let corporations dictate their behavior.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDon\u2019t let these fuckin\u2019 corporate assholes tell you what to do, do whatever the fuck you want,\u201d Homme said. \u201cFuck that shit. You paid for parking, and you\u2019re paying for overpriced drinks, these fucking scalpers. Fuck having some corporation tell you what the fuck to do, you guys do what you want!\u201d He then added, \u201cAnd fuck Flock cameras too,\u201d before lighting a cigarette onstage.<\/p>\n<p>Whether Homme or the band received the reported $10,000 fine remains unclear.<\/p>\n<p>Queens of the Stone Age are currently supporting Foo Fighters on their 2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/consequence.net\/2026\/08\/foo-fighters-kick-off-2026-summer-tour-photos-video-setlists\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cTake Cover Tour,\u201d<\/a> which kicked off last week in Toronto and continues through September. The Detroit concert marked the second show of the run and also featured <a href=\"https:\/\/consequence.net\/artist\/mannequin-pussy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mannequin Pussy<\/a>.
