the context of the dangers mountains contain,\u201d team leader <strong>Ben Dyson<\/strong> told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetimes.com\/uk\/scotland\/article\/king-charles-avalanche-klosters-1988-fd6tzmgnt\" style=\"text-align: start;\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em>The Times<\/em><\/a> recently about the sovereign&#8217;s event.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\u201cHe said \u2018it was a close thing.&#8217; Obviously after all these years it is still much in his memory, but it had given him an insight [in]to the valuable work we do and the dangers we face,&#8221; Dyson recalled, adding Charles was \u201cvery appreciative\u201d of the work mountain rescue href=\"https:\/\/okmagazine.com\/p\/prince-harry-trip-fuels-more-divorce-rumors-meghan-markle-confronts-estrangement-scandal\/\">skiing<\/a> off-piste on the Gotschnagrat mountain above the Klosters resort in Switzerland when an avalanche hit.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: start;\">The scary incident killed his close friend, <strong>Major Hugh Lindsay<\/strong>, who was the late <a href=\"https:\/\/okmagazine.com\/t\/queen-elizabeth-ii\/\"><strong>Queen Elizabeth<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s former equerry. I wrote to them asking them not to do it, not to use the accident.
