Just feels so deflating. Don\u2019t know how else to explain it,\u201d she said. \u201cUntil you\u2019ve seen it for yourself, it\u2019s hard to kind of describe.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@megancjasmine\/video\/7670915095723019542\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">separate video<\/a> opening up about the reality of Hollywood, Jasmine said her trip to Los Angeles left her with unmet expectations. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think before going to Los Angeles, I\u2019d built up an image in my head of what I thought it might be,\u201d said Jasmine. \u201cIt was absolutely nothing like I imagined.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The content creator said Tinseltown was \u201cabsolutely nothing\u201d like she\u2019d imagined. <span class=\"credit\">TikTok \/ @megancjasmine<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cAlthough there\u2019s some really fantastic places in LA to go, some of the places are just really run down,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n<p>Later in the video, Jasmine said that if she could do her trip over, she would have completely skipped Hollywood. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow, whenever someone tells me they\u2019re going to LA, I say \u2018Please don\u2019t go with unrealistic expectations.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The woman said if she could do her trip to Los Angeles all over again, she would skip Hollywood entirely. <span class=\"credit\">AFP via Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The video racked up more than 1,000 comments. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cTotally agree, I was massively disappointed, especially Hollywood, that was like a crack den,\u201d said one commenter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe went in March, and it\u2019s so sooooo run down, we went on Oscar week so a lot of it was hidden and covered over,\u201d another tourist wrote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI thought the same. I\u2019m glad I went and can say I\u2019ve seen it, but it was a huge disappointment,\u201d said a third.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Other tourists shared their own disappointing experiences visiting Hollywood in the comments.  <span class=\"credit\">travelview \u2013 stock.adobe.com<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>One user blamed the TikToker for not doing more research.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cZero research before a vacation. It would\u2019ve taken one TikTok search to see how gross Hollywood is.
