{"id":36680,"date":"2026-08-10T15:36:33","date_gmt":"2026-08-10T10:36:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/usnews-14267fa.ingress-comporellon.ewp.live\/?p=36680"},"modified":"2026-08-10T15:36:33","modified_gmt":"2026-08-10T10:36:33","slug":"pippa-harris-james-wilson-join-industry-forum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/usnews-14267fa.ingress-comporellon.ewp.live\/?p=36680","title":{"rendered":"Pippa Harris, James Wilson Join Industry Forum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><script>\r\n  atOptions = {\r\n    'key' : '644b717812d811d6a1c1fc5b6ccd6fa6',\r\n    'format' : 'iframe',\r\n    'height' : 90,\r\n    'width' : 728,\r\n    'params' : {}\r\n  };\r\n<\/script>\r\n<script src=\"https:\/\/www.highperformanceformat.com\/644b717812d811d6a1c1fc5b6ccd6fa6\/invoke.js\"><\/script>\r\n<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe BFI <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/london-film-festival\/\" id=\"auto-tag_london-film-festival\" data-tag=\"london-film-festival\">London Film Festival<\/a> has announced that two of the U.K.\u2019s most acclaimed producers will lead the industry program at its upcoming 70th edition. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/pippa-harris\/\" id=\"auto-tag_pippa-harris\" data-tag=\"pippa-harris\">Pippa Harris<\/a>, who produced \u201cHamnet,\u201d \u201c1917\u201d and is currently working on \u201cThe Beatles\u201d biopics, and <a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/t\/james-wilson\/\" id=\"auto-tag_james-wilson\" data-tag=\"james-wilson\">James Wilson<\/a>, who produced \u201cThe Zone of Interest,\u201d \u201cThe Voice of Hind Rajab\u201d and \u201cUnder the Skin,\u201d are set to take part in their own spotlight conversations as part of the LFF\u2019s industry forum. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tHarris and Wilson will, according to the festival, discuss their careers, current projects and navigating the international film and TV market in a rapidly changing landscape.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\t\u201cThis year our industry programme puts a spotlight on producers and the vital role they play in shepherding artistic visions from their earliest stages through to the screen,\u201d said BFI London Film Festival director Kristy Matheson. \u201cI\u2019m\u00a0delighted that industry colleagues will have the opportunity to hear from\u00a0Pippa\u00a0Harris\u00a0and\u00a0James\u00a0Wilson\u00a0\u2013\u00a0two\u00a0esteemed producers whose unique creative careers have given us some of the most memorable and critically acclaimed films of recent years.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tHarris is best-known for her longstanding partnership with Sam Mendes, with whom she co-founded Neal Street Productions. Alongside Oscar and BAFTA winners \u201cHamnet\u201d and \u201c1917,\u201d her film credits including\u00a0\u201cRevolutionary Road,\u201d \u201cJarhead\u201d and recent family feature \u201cThe Magic Faraway Tree,\u201d while on TV her productions include \u201cCall the Midwife,\u201d \u201cPenny Dreadful\u201d and \u201cBritannia.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tWilson, meanwhile, has an ongoing collaboration with director Jonathan Glazer, with whom he\u2019s worked on both the Oscar and BAFTA-winning \u201cThe Zone of Interest\u201d and \u201cUnder the Skin.\u201d Last year, he produced Kaouther Ben Hania\u2019s Oscar-nominated \u201cThe Voice of Hind Rajab,\u201d while his other credits include Lynne Ramsay\u2019s \u201cYou Were Never Really Here,\u201d Aneil Karia\u2019s \u201cHamlet\u201d and \u201c20,000 Days on Earth,\u201d directed by  Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe\u00a0full\u00a0LFF industry forum programme will be announced\u00a0mid-\u00a0September.\u00a0The festival runs Oct 7-18. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<script async=\"async\" data-cfasync=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/pl30214220.effectivecpmnetwork.com\/9ab3d4df8a7e1a6171e16ddbf732cc19\/invoke.js\"><\/script>\r\n<div id=\"container-9ab3d4df8a7e1a6171e16ddbf732cc19\"><\/div>\r\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The BFI London Film Festival has announced that two of the U.K.\u2019s most acclaimed producers will lead the industry program at its upcoming 70th edition.
