Designed to protect minors from bad actors in the online space, the new measures are similar to those seen in countries like the UK, where social features are locked to those who haven&#8217;t verified.<\/p>\n<p>Privacy advocates have criticized the move, which they say opens up the sensitive information of users up to hackers who are able to access Xbox&#8217;s databases.
