Quatro will also headline four Red Hot Summer Tour outdoor shows across Brisbane, Lake Macquarie, Torquay and the Barossa Valley, sharing bills with Australian rock acts including Jon Stevens, Rose Tattoo, Dragon, Choirboys and the Screaming Jets, with lineups varying by state. General tickets go on sale Wednesday (Aug. 12) at 10 a.m. local time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tThe tour continues a relationship with Australia that stretches back more than five decades. Born in Detroit in 1950, Quatro began performing as a teenager in the mid-1960s with the all-female band the Pleasure Seekers before producer Mickie Most brought her to England in 1971 to launch her as a solo artist. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tQuatro\u2019s commercial peak came in the glam-rock era of the early-to-mid 1970s. \u201cCan the Can\u201d topped the charts in the U.K., Australia and across Europe in 1973, and she followed it with international hits including \u201c48 Crash,\u201d \u201cDaytona Demon\u201d and \u201cDevil Gate Drive.\u201d While those songs made only modest inroads in the U.S. \u2014 \u201cCan the Can\u201d reached No. 56 on the Billboard Hot 100 upon a later American release \u2014 her stateside breakthrough came in 1979 with \u201cStumblin\u2019 In,\u201d a duet with Smokie\u2019s Chris Norman that climbed to No. 4 on the Hot 100, becoming her biggest American hit. She has sold more than 55 million records across her career.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto  lrv-a-font-body-m   \">\n\tBeyond music, Quatro found a wide American audience through her recurring role as Leather Tuscadero on the sitcom <em>Happy Days<\/em>, and has since worked as an author, radio broadcaster and West End performer, starring in a London production of <em>Annie Get Your Gun<\/em>. Her career was chronicled in the 2019 documentary <em>Suzi Q<\/em>.
