helped <a href=\"https:\/\/okmagazine.com\/t\/suge-knight\/\"><strong>Marion \u201cSuge\u201d Knight<\/strong><\/a>, the then-head of Death Row Records, establish the company, who was with Shakur in the vehicle when <a href=\"https:\/\/okmagazine.com\/p\/tupac-shakur-family-sean-diddy-combs-wrongful-death-lawsuit-conspiracy-rapper-death-true\/\">the shooting took place<\/a> and was injured.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy would I kill our money like that?\u201d Davis argued.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/okmagazine.com\/p\/tupac-shakur-brother-cautious-hope-sensational-murder-trial\/\">He admitted<\/a> that all the statements he previously made about his role in the rapper&#8217;s murder were falsehoods exaggerated to help him make money and sell his book for his for with his alleged lies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI hate [that] I put my family in jeopardy like this,\u201d he said, before adding, \u201cI said, that\u2019s\u2026that\u2019s one regret I have for my\u2026my kids, my wife, my wife\u2019s kids.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/okmagazine.com\/p\/suge-knight-hints-sean-diddy-combs-connection-killing-tupac-shakur\/\">He also revealed<\/a> that he would not be taking a plea deal during the trial.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m 63. I had a cancer battle, and I got three stents to my heart, and the average American lives like 74 years old \u2026 10 years, I\u2019m dead,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI heard it was like some 10 and 25. I\u2019m not going to do that. You know what I\u2019m saying? Although Knight survived his injuries, Shakur succumbed to them in the hospital a few days later. No probable suspects had been identified at the time. <\/p>\n<p>That is, until 2008, when Davis spoke with a federal task force in a \u201cproffer,\u201d an agreement in which a suspect provides useful information to the authorities on the condition that it can&#8217;t be used against them. However, there are some exceptions.<\/p>\n<p>He told federal agents at the time that the hip-hop star and Knight had assaulted his nephew earlier that night.
