We met February 2011. You both have to want to be there,\u201d Baldwin told Fox News Digital.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhenever my friends are coming to me, and they\u2019re like it\u2019s a new relationship, or they\u2019re having a bump in it, I say, if both people don\u2019t really want to be there through your difficult moments, through your best moments, then it\u2019s just not going to probably work out,\u201d the TV personality explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBoth Alec and I, through our ups and our downs and our sideways, we\u2019ve wanted to be there. And I think that that\u2019s what\u2019s kept us strong.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Baldwin admitted there is no such thing as a perfectly planned date night, especially with seven kids.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Hilaria Baldwin attends the 2026 Gurus Beauty Awards on June 23, 2026 in New York City. <span class=\"credit\">Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cWell, last night it involved taking our youngest with us to dinner because that\u2019s what it was,\u201d she remarked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, I brought my youngest. \u2026 And I have a babysitter throughout the day, and then at night, no, so we\u2019re like, we want to go out to dinner. And so, the baby comes with us.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The candid comments come as Baldwin swapped parenting duties for pop quizzes on FOX\u2019s new celebrity competition series, \u201cNation\u2019s Dumbest.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The mom of seven joins an eclectic celebrity lineup on FOX\u2019s competition show, \u201cNation\u2019s Dumbest,\u201d which includes Carmen Electra, Anthony Michael Hall, Ice-T, Elle King, Matt Leinart, Dr. Drew Pinsky, Steve-O, JoJo Siwa, Andrew Yang and more.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNation\u2019s Dumbest\u201d flips the traditional competition format on its head.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figcaption>Hilaria Baldwin and Alec Baldwin pose at the grand Opening of the new Planet Hollywood NYC at Planet Hollywood New York City on March 11, 2025 in New York City. <span class=\"credit\">Bruce Glikas\/Getty Images<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Instead of chasing first place, celebrities compete to avoid earning the title of the \u201cNation\u2019s Dumbest.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Away from the classroom-inspired chaos, Baldwin also pushed back on what she says is one of the biggest misconceptions about her.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think that people think, especially women, are very calculated. I think that that\u2019s something that\u2019s universal around all of us,\u201d she told Fox News Digital.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to try everything, I\u2019m curious. It was fun to watch because I was like, I feel like that\u2019s the way that my life is. It just kind of, I fall into things sometimes, and then sometimes I fall over very badly, and it\u2019s a big mess in front of the world, and it\u2019s fine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For Baldwin, embracing imperfection has become a theme both on screen and at home.<\/p>\n<p>While she may not always have a plan, she believes staying committed through life\u2019s twists has made all the difference in her\u00a0family and marriage.<\/p>\n<p>Hilaria and Alec share seven children \u2014 daughters Carmen, Maria and Ilaria, and sons Rafael, Leonardo, Romeo and Eduardo. Alec is also the father of daughter\u00a0Ireland Baldwin, whom he shares with ex-wife Kim Basinger.
