Numerous other events took place, including using an acid like material on the just installed grass adjoining the Pool. On it were written the letters, \u201c86 47,\u201d a phrase probably gotten from <strong>James Comey<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>There was substantial other damage to the Reflecting Pool, also but, unfortunately, there is no video or proof, other than the damage, itself. We are working on the Pool, and it will reopen shortly. As with many jobs, there was also some contractor error done by rushing the job for a July 4th opening, but it was a very small area of this massive Pool, and was relatively inconsequential. More to follow&#8230;. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/OkgXfeYBmf\">pic.twitter.com\/OkgXfeYBmf<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Norm Eisen (@NormEisen) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NormEisen\/status\/2085473073415729283?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 6, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<p>Hearn&#8217;s attorney, <strong>Norm Eisen<\/strong>, posted a photo of the formal dismissal that came after U.S. Attorney <strong>Jeanine Pirro<\/strong> admitted the DOJ had relied on claims from the Interior Department that \u201cthe damage was caused entirely by vandals, including [Hearn].\u201d After the indictment, however, Pirro wrote that the department then \u201cprovided additional documents\u201d that revealed \u201cthe damage was the result of a botched installation and not vandalism as initially represented by DOI.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trump raged at Pirro&#8217;s decision to drop the case, saying <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mediaite.com\/media\/news\/she-folded-like-an-umbrella-trump-absolutely-buries-jeanine-pirro-for-dropping-reflecting-pool-vandalism-case\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">she &#8220;choked&#8221;<\/a> and &#8220;folded like an umbrella,&#8221; and speculation was rampant that she could be fired over the president&#8217;s wrath.<\/p>\n<p>Pirro filed the motion &#8220;without prejudice,&#8221; which means she could bring the charges again.
