The mystery drama romance follows teenage Annie (Ella Rubin), who finds out she and her twin brother have inherited a Canadian island from their estranged grandfather, and goes to investigate. An original story from creator Megan Park, <em>Sterling Point<\/em> has the potential to continue.<\/p>\n<p>The show has yet to be officially renewed for season 2, but Park says in a new interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/ew.com\/sterling-point-megan-king-season-2-12036078\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Entertainment Weekly<\/em><\/a>: &#8220;<em>Season 1, you do spend a lot of time setting up the world, and then I do almost feel like if you get a season 2, it&#8217;s when you relax and go deeper,<\/em>&#8221; she says. It would be so interesting to bring that character in. [&#8230;] There&#8217;s a lot of mommy and daddy issues being threaded throughout the show.<\/em>&#8220;<\/p>\n<p>At the time of writing, <strong><em>Sterling Point<\/em> is the No. 1 TV show in the U.S. and the world on Prime Video. <\/strong>It has also achieved a critical approval rating of 92% on Rotten Tomatoes, as well as an audience score of 88%. <em>EW <\/em>also reports that Park is frequently asked what young adult book is the basis for <em>Sterling Point<\/em>, as it echoes certain literary trends, though it is an original.<\/p>\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/sterling-point-season-1-review\/\" target=\"_blank\"><em>ScreenRant<\/em>&#8216;s review for <em>Sterling Point<\/em><\/a>, Rianna de Bono-Smith calls the series a &#8220;<em>YA fever dream<\/em>&#8221; and highlights the elements that will draw in this specific audience: &#8220;<em>The series begins with color grading that would make Twilight fans weep in remembrance [&#8230;] With a new Olivia Rodrigo song playing in the background, it&#8217;s clear the creators know who their target audience is, and no one is complaining.<\/em>&#8220;<\/p>\n<p><em>Sterling Point<\/em> also stars Jacob Whiteduck-Lavoie and Daniel Quinn Toye, alongside veteran cast members Jeffrey Dean Morgan (<em>The Walking Dead, Watchmen<\/em>) and Jay Duplass (<em>Industry, Transparent<\/em>). With a strong start, if it were to continue, the new TV show could cement itself as one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/prime-video-tv-shows-better-than-netflix\/\" target=\"_blank\">best
