on the pavement and bystanders yelling for an ambulance after an alleged street assault was captured on security footage.<\/p>\n<p>Emergency services were called to Coogee Bay Rd about 11 p.m. on Saturday after reports of an assault in Coogee.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=7TYtzK21uzo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Security footage<\/a> appears to show the moments before the confrontation turned violent.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>The fight started after a younger man slapped the 41-year-old victim.  <span class=\"credit\">7News Australia<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>A small group, including a younger man in a white shirt and the alleged victim, can be seen talking and hugging on the street.<\/p>\n<p>The footage then appears to show the younger man slap the 41-year-old before advancing towards him.<\/p>\n<p>The older man backs away with his hands raised, appearing to try to stop the blows, before he is seen on the ground as others rush in to help.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>After the yelling for someone to call an ambulance while bystanders roll the injured man onto his side.<\/p>\n<p>The footage then appears to show the group trying to walk back towards the fallen man before the class=\"credit\">7News Australia<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cLook what you\u2019ve done to him,\u201d she yelled.<\/p>\n<p>Paramedics treated the 41-year-old man at the scene before taking him to the Prince of Wales Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Police from Eastern Beaches Police Area Command began investigating, arresting a 26-year-old man at the scene before taking him to Maroubra Police Station.<\/p>\n<p>He was later charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and refused bail to appear before court on Sunday.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<script async=\"async\" data-cfasync=\"false\"
